Gmail Notifier extension for Firefox

In: Mozilla|Neat Stuff

Doron has written a Gmail Notifier extension for Firefox. It adds a button to your toolbar that displays the number of unread emails you have in your Gmail account. Like how I have 0 new emails (I’m a lonely, lonely guy) in the screenshot below.

Gmail Notifier in action

Neat work, and this is still early stages for Gmail Notifier. Doron has promised Gmail/Mozilla integration and this (Gmail Notifier) seems to be part of that exciting project. Check back with Doron for more later – this should lead to something really neat.

Very cool extension. Doron rocks.
One thing that it is missing and you might find usefull I have made an extension for, called GMailCompose. It basically brings up a gmail compose window for mailto: links and text email addresses, suprisingly usefull. Just though I’d let you know for even more gmail fun :)

Thanks for always keeping us informed on the latest and greates from Firefox, very much appreciated (expcially the screenshots you post about new features).

Great idea, but I can’t get it to work. It won’t log into my account even though the username and password are correct. I finally gave up and ininstalled it, and I’m surprised to see that it works for other people.

Yup I just started to have this problem – noticed it yesterday. Otherwise it was working beautifully before that. I think Google may have changed something that has caused the borkage.

Gmail Notifier for Firefox
This is quite cool – a Gmail notifier for Firefox. It sits on your toolbar and displays how many unread messages are in your Gmail inbox.
