You have pretty much the same musical taste as me. You'd probably also like the Ataris' new album, "So Long, Astoria" Idlewild's "Remote Part," Jimmy Eat World's "Futures," Matchbook Romance's "Stories and Alibis," Maxeen's "Maxeen," Simple Plan's "Still Not Getting Any," the Starting Line's "Say It Like You Mean It," Sugarcult's "Palm Trees and Powerlines," Taking Back Sunday's "Where You Want to Be," Yellowcard's "One for the Kids." And for something a bit outside of these genres, but still amazing, my all-time favorite CD, Zebrahead's "Waste of Mind."

IM me at basilcrow if you need to download any of these.

Andrea: Dumb Like That is nice. I'll check out Sunny Day Real Estate as well. Thanks for the recommendations.

Si: Yeah Weezer are one of the best. And you're right about Dashboard Confessional - very great for singing along to, their songs (don't think I'll ever catch them "live" though, where I am).

Michael, Matthew: Oh yeah that's right!

As Weezer are one of the greatest bands ever to commit music to record, I don't blame you for putting them on the list :) Dashboard Confessional have been a guilty pleasure of mine for a long time too... see them live, leave with a sore throat from singing your heart out.

I agree with Andrea ^^ on the Sunny Day Real Estate too - the best album to get (I think, anyway) is the first one, "Diary".

My band of the year however, is "Explosions In The Sky" - it's instrumental post-rock, but who needs lyrics when the music is as emotionally powerful as this... I love this band.

Right now, the best thing you can be listening to is the unplugged version of Youth Dillute by Sevenball (available as <a href="http://www.sevenball.co.uk/Sevenball%20-%20Youth%20Dilute%20(Unplugged).mp3">MP3</a> on their site).

Awesome.

I recently uploaded a couple of songs to yousendit.com to share them with some people, and I thought you might like one of these - "<a href="http://s20.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2F9SSGM3K434C0WLYV6OPR0NM">Dumb Like That</a>" by Vroom (the download link's still good to go, hopefully). A bit like Dashboard Confessional, I'd say. I'm a big fan of this melodic kind of rock, so based on your liking of Third Eye Blind I'd also recommend South San Gabriel (esp. "Smelling Medicinal") and Sunny Day Real Estate (esp. "Guitar and Video Games") to you.

I've been listening to this the last few months: http://www.audioscrobbler.com/user/miliphen

Although Audioscrobbler didn't catch all of the songs I've played, you get a pretty good idea.
