Gentoo Linux is holding a poll for their website redesign contest. I fancy Derek Gerstmann’s design.

Derek Gerstmann’s design looks like a ripoff of apple.com. I prefer Aaron Shi’s design :)

I like Aaron Shi’s design better, too. I think there’s way too little content on the frontpage of Derek’s design.

I agree–Derek Gerstmann’s design is a blatent rip off Apple’s website.

The current design beats all of them, although some colour changes would improve it. Simple really is better.

Although there are some similarities, I did not attempt to simply rip-off Apple’s website. My goals were to minimize the content, and present it in an orderly fashion. Simply calling something a ripoff is easy, actually designing a nice looking functional site with a high degree of usability that is unique and stylish, is hard. This was my attempt.
