Wow, this comparison seems to compare Python with a very minor sliver of the power of Java.
Of course java is going to be a more complex language with a higher learning curve than Python. Java is a significantly more powerful language. Through Java and particularly J2EE, you can construct enterprise applications that would be impossible to construct in Python.
For someone to make such a comparison as done in this article, it sounds like that person does not know a great deal about Java.
